KEN-JUTSU AND THE HO-JO

The Ken-jutsu practised in AKSER is this one of the « Jiki shin kage ryu » which was studied by Sensei Schneider during 5 month in Japan with one of the latest master in the matter, Sensei Omori SogenV.

The practise of the sword connects the techniques of the boken with the very old traditional kata (with partner), which still are unknown in the dojo outside of Japan where Ken-jutsu is practised.

The kata Ho-jo are the expression of the year’s four seasons and involve the natural elements allowing to develop concentration, distance, precise of the technique and correct breathing (ibuki)

The kata also contain elements of Qi-kong including thus a large panoply of the usual contents of martial arts.

This discipline is practised by advanced students and can be integrated in the evaluation for “Yudanshiken” (black belt exams)
