KARATE DO
"EGAMIRYU®"

The style "Egami ryu" was developed by the Egami Master following long years of practice with Funakoshi Gîchin 0 Sensei and the son of this last. Maître Egami, at the time of the change which it brought to its practice, insisted on the fact that the technique must as much as possible approach the natural movements of the body.
He thus gave up gestural contracted, jerked and relatively the not very fast one of the technique which he had practised during long years, to concentrate on fluidity and relaxation. These elements to which are added speed, mobility and of course the concentration made its technique a particular style.
Although Maître Egarni never named its practice by its name, the creator of the AKSER, A.Schneider qualified the style with the name "Egami" in recognition of the priceless contribution brought by Egami Sensei to the evolution of
karate-Do.
A fundamental and very important exercise, the "ren kumity" is typical practice of the style. Progressively progress of the practitioner, this exercise becomes increasingly difficult. Indeed with a certain level, the practitioner must carry out it against several adversaries at the same time and that without interruption. In fact the ren kumity is a exercise where Tori can be assimilated to a rocket seeking the target personified by
Uke.
Concerning the katas practised by the style, they are those of Shotoryu with some modifications in order to approach, as much as possible, of more logical situations.
Karate-do Shotokai “Egami style” indexed in Akser is definite under the name “Egamiryu®”.
As Doshu and a Soke of the specificity of the Shotokai style practiced in Akser, I asked top graded to make evolve the practice to exercises more diversified and advanced compared to the traditional exercises.
From this point of view, an exercise of sequences with varied techniques was developed by Kyoshi Günther Bitzer-Gavornik (Akser Austria). Being carried out with a star embusen and movements on the right and on the left, I gave to this exercise the name of:
“Hoshi kihon”
I thus recommend firmly to all the experts and instructors of Akser International the practice of this exercise at the beginning of each drive. In addition “Hoshi No kata” will be also set up like exercise at the beginning of each training course.
A CD is at the disposal of the executives of Akser.
In addition, always from the same point of view, another expert Renshi Goran Sovtic (Akser Serbia) currently develops an outgoing specific kata apart from the usual framework. This kata will bear the name of:
“Pasadi sho”
A CD will be soon also at the disposal of the executives of Akser.
